Chris Paul And The Hornets Make It Two In A Row

Chris Paul has played great all season long and as the playoffs started they are sometimes a lot tougher to play in, but apparently no one has told him. Last night Paul tossed in 30 points and had 12 assists to help lead the New Orleans Hornets to a 102-84 victory against the San Antonio Spurs. This puts the Hornets up 2-0 in the series.

The Spurs are struggling right now and seem to have no answer on how to stop Chris Paul. They should not feel to bad though as the Dallas Mavericks could not figure that small problem out either and they are home watching the playoffs. The Hornets do have a tell-tale stat that really helps them and that is San Antonio has never come back from a 2-0 series deficit to win a series.

Now if the Spurs hope to get back in this series they must play better and that will start with Game 3 at home. If they do not win both of their games at home the series will be over. The Spurs are defending champions for a reason and they will come out like they have never played before. Their backs are against the wall and we will get to see what they are made of. If Chris Paul and company win Game 3 the series could be over and a sweep is possible. I guess we will have to wait and see what kind of performance the Spurs give before we can put the writing on the wall.
