It was suppose to be the Big Three Garnett, Pierce, Allen against Lebron James, but it turned out to be the Kevin Garnet and Rajon Rondo show last night as Boston beat Cleveland by a score of 76-72. Garnett tossed in 28 points while Rondo had 15 points. Pay Allen and Paul Pierce was no where to be found last night in fact Ray Allen did not even score.

To the Cleveland Cavaliers credit they stayed in the game even though Lebron James was 2 for 18 and scored only 12 points. The big man Zydrunas Ilqauskas had 22 points and 12 rebounds to help keep the Cavaliers in the game. It seemed when the Cavaliers needed a basket Big Z would get it for them. It was not enough though to get the win.

The Boston Celtics should feel very lucky they won the game while the Cavaliers cannot be to disappointed because they lost a very close game with James going 2-18. Everyone knows Ray Allen and Paul Pierce will bounce back for Boston. Do not think Lebron James is going to have another 2-18 shooting either so Game 2 will be a very big game for both teams. I think Boston needs it worse though as they cannot afford to lose any games at home.
