Kobe, Lakers Grab 2-0 Series Lead Against Utah

Kobe Bryant collected his first MVP before the game and he showed everyone why he got the award by scoring 34 points, grabbing eight rebounds and getting six assists to help the Los Angeles Lakers to a 120-110 win. Derek Fisher tossed in 22 points and Pau Gasol had 20 points to back Bryant’s effort.

The Utah Jazz just do not seem like they have any answers for Kobe Bryant and that is killing them right now. Utah has outrebounded the Lakers, but without the ability to slow Kobe down this could be a very short series. The Jazz are going home where they play extremely well so that should help them out a lot.

Utah is in a must win in Game 3 as they cannot afford to go 0-3 or it will be over. The first thing they must figure out though is how to slow down Kobe Bryant who seems to be able to score at will. If they cannot figure a way to slow Bryant down soon this series could be over very quickly.
