Mets Crush Yankees In Subway Series
Jose Reyes and the New York Mets have been struggling most of the year so the only way to fix that is play a team struggling worse than you and that is the New York Yankees. Oliver perez shut down the Yankee bats on way to a Mets 11-2 drubbing of the New York Yankees. Ryan Church homered and Moises Alou drove in three runs for the Mets who beat Yankee starter Chien-Ming Wang and won a season series from the Yankees. Perez pitched very well for the New York Mets team who have also struggled and even had clubhouse problems as well. Hopefully this will get the Mets turned around and headed in the right direction.
For the New York Yankees though they are headed in the wrong direction as the losses are starting to pile up and that is something that Yankee brass are not going to put up with. Look for some changes real soon unless the Yankees start to play much better. I just cannot see them standing pat and continue to lose games without changes being made.
