NCAA College Softball World Series Rocks
This past weekend I got the pleasure to watch some of the women’s NCAA College Softball playoffs and I was very impressed. Since I coach softball I thought it would be a great break from watching other types of sports. I have really never been able to sit down and watch many women’s sports on television so I thought I would check this one out. I have to admit I was very impressed with what I saw.
These women put their heart and soul into getting into the World Series as it is their lifelong dream as college players to make it to the College Softball World Series and win it. Some of the teams I watch had to win two games in the same day just to keep playing. Now many people may not think that is real tough, but having played some softball it is much harder than you can imagine. I have played some fastpitch in my time and must admit that it is harder to hit that ball than you can imagine.
After watching about 6 or 8 games I came away with a new respect for women and sports. In fact Sports hits is going to start doing more women sports as well because they should has just as much press as the men. Women want to be the best they can in everything they do just like the men do. If you get a chance catch some of the Women’s College Softball World Series this week. It pits Texas A@M against Arizona State. Both teams will give you a great show. I know I am going to catch the series and will report the results here.
