Kentucky Gets Upset At Rupp Arena By VMI
First it was Gardner Webb now VMI has shocked Kentucky at home with a stunning 111-103 win. The Virginia Military Institute does not get to many signature wins, but this will go down as one of the biggest that they have seen. The bottom line is VMI easily outplayed the Wildcats and even Jodie Meeks who had career high 39 points copuld not save the Wildcats.
Right now Kentucky Basketball is in bad shape and it is going to take a number of years before it gets turned around if it does under Gillispie. I personally do not think he is the coach that the Wildcats needed, but in the end we will see what he can do. This is his second year so we will see if the Wildcats show any improvement over last years team that at best was horrible at times. Getting beat at Rupp Arena is something that does not happen often, but when a team plays better you are going to lose.
