The Dallas Cowboys have decided that they want to clean house even more so Greg Ellis was let go. It will save the Dallas Cowboys over 4 million off the cap  and once the Cowboys drafted a linebacker in the draft you knew the writing was on the wall for him. Ellis finished his Cowboys career with 634 tackles, 36 tackles for losses, 197 quarterback pressures and 77 sacks.

Personally, I think this is a bad move on the Dallas Cowboys part as they will be losing a leader in the locker room and a very good player. At 33, Ellis still is a player that could help them, but the Cowboys decided they no longer needed him. I guess we will see how this works out for the Dallas Cowboys and what kind of an impact it will make on the defensive side of the ball.
