When MLB Baseball decided they wanted a team in Washington I thought that would be a great idea. I mean the Washington Senators were great for the game and people can still tell you about some games they watched of the Senators. Fast forward to the Washington Nationals and it’s just not the same. The Nationals came in with much fanfare, but that is really where it all ends.
The Nationals have gone through many managers and still in the bottom of their division. No player really wants to come to Washington to play so that is also a big problem as well. Unless you get guys wanting to come there they will leave after a few years. Mismanagement has also been a problem with the Nationals as well. Poor drafting of players can also be put at the top of the list.
Hopefully the Nationals will be able to turn it around real soon because it would be great if people in Washington could take about the Senators and the Nationals in the same breath, right now that is just not possible.

Even though you cannot officially announce signing anyone until July 8th the Detroit Pistons have reeled in two top players in Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva. Former Bulls guard Gordon will receive a five-year deal for between $55 million and $60 million, while former Bucks forward Villanueva gets a five-year deal for $40 million, pretty good money if you ask me.
The Bulls did offer Gordon good money to stay, but he decided that he wanted to leave and the Pistons offer was for a little bit more money. As far as Villanueva the Bucks were going to let him go anyway so it really is not a big loss for them as they expected him to go. No matter what this makes the Detroit Pistons much better and it makes you wonder if Richard “Rip” Hamilton days are numbered in Detroit.
