Twitter And NFL Just Don’t Seem To Mix

Published by ken77 under NFL Football Edit This

It seems that no matter what happens Twitter and the NFL just does not mix very well. Larry Johnson made some comments about his coach on Twitter and of course Chad Johnson use to tweet a lot about the NFL and other things as well. It seems the NFL has a real problem controlling this media. You can ban players from tweeting during a game, but what they do on their own time is another story it seems.

Fans love twitter and getting the insight from NFL players about what is going on with their favorite teams and players. Not everything goes smoothly during an NFL season and fans love to hear what players are thinking. Sometimes that is not always a good thing so that is something that I am sure the NFL will be paying closer attention to. No matter what the NFL and Twitter right now are not mixing real well. Hopefully that will change and players will be able to tweet freely without and handcuffs.

What Has Happen To The Washington Redskins

Published by ken77 under NFL Football Edit This

ts.jpg

What has happen to the once proud Washington Redskins? This is a very interesting question and has many possible answers that could be given.  Many people point the finger at Daniel Snyder who has been in charged and so far his decisions have not been real good. He has hired a number of different coaches which none really having much success in Washington. Jim Zorn the latest coach has really struggled and now has been stripped of his play calling as well. Why even have him coach the team.

Now it does not end with bad coach hires either. The Redskins in recent years have not drafted well at all. If you cannot draft in the NFL you will struggle. You can only pick up so many free agents to fill these gaps. Draft picks help you rebuild your team and the Redskins have really failed in that respect as well.

When even radio and television announcers question the direction you have troubles. The bottom line the Redskins need to get back to their roots. Running the ball like when they had John Riggins and getting a quarterback that can run that type of offense. It looks like Jason Campbell is not the answer and won’t be for a long time to come. Redskin fans can only take so much Daniel Snyder. It’s time you take stock in what you have built and start from scratch.

Yankees One win Away From World Series

Published by ken77 under MLB Baseball Edit This

 1aa78knmt.jpg

The New York Yankees are just one win away from the World Series after a 10-1 beat down of the Los Angeles Angels. CC Sabathia pitched eight strong innings giving up just one run and Alex Rodriguez continued to swing a hot bat for the Yankees.  The key this night though was Sabathia who was on his game. He made the pitches when he needed to and the Angels had no answers for him.

For the Angels their backs are against the wall and must really hit the ball better if they have any hopes of extending this series. The Yankees pitching staff has handled them real well so far and unless something changes I see this series ending real soon. The Angels have had their chances, but cannot seem to get the one hit they need when it matters most. If you can’t do that you will never beat the Yankees in this series.

Jimmie Johnson Elite Sports Performer

Published by ken77 under Auto Racing, Nascar Edit This

Jimmie Johnson is heading to another Nascar Championship and the bad thing is the sportsworld has really not cared. With the baseball playoffs, NBA pre-season, and the NFL season to talk about Johnson has basically been snubbed. This is my opinion is just not right. Will you hear Jimmie Johnson complain about lack of coverage? Nope he just continues to go out and dominate races.

Johnson is one of the good guys in sports and does many things  outside the racing arena that people just do not hear about. When Jimmie Johnson first came in I never thought he would be as good as he has been. He has proven that he is a force to be reckon with and the way he is going he could be around a long time to come.  Let’s hope the mainstream media give him the credit that he deserves.

Rams, Titans, Buccaneers Are Plain Horrible

Published by ken77 under NFL Football Edit This

 1aasz789.jpg

Sometimes in the NFL you just want to turn the channel as some teams just want to make you gag. Three of those teams are the Rams, Buccaneers, and Titans. Now the Tennessee Titans are a interesting story because last year they were 13-3 so how they are 0-6 this year I have not figured that out. They have talent on both sides of the ball, but for some reason they just cannot put things together.

For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers they finished 9-7 last year and fired Jon Gruden. Great move Buccaneers! I can see that move has really paid off for you guys. I am sure Gruden is laughing every Monday Night at you guys. The Bucs suck plain and simple. They have no defense and no offense at all. To be honest they really don’t have a player they can build around. The bad news Buc fans is this is a rebuilding process that will take a few years so get use to it.

Then you have the St. Louis Rams who for the last few years have been one of the worse teams in the NFL. They have the same problems the Bucs have no sense of what they are doing at all. They have one good player and that is their running back Steven Jackson.  Without Jackson the Rams would be a lot worse. Now there maybe light at the end of the tunnel. The Rams did at least get a team to overtime this year and almost owon.

Out of all three teams which one do I consider to be the worse. Simply put the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Many people think it is the Rams, but in a game I don’t think the Bucs could stop Jackson. Sorry Buc fans you have the worse team in the NFL.

Broncos Continue To Roll Along Beating Chargers 34-23

Published by ken77 under NFL Football Edit This

 1aawejg.jpg

The Denver Broncos were not suppose to be this good this fast, but you won’t hear them complain or any of their fans. The Broncos got kickoff and punt return for touchdowns and Kyle Orton played a great second half to lead the Broncos over the Chargers by a score of 34-23. In the first half Orton was 9-14 for just 83 yards, while in the second half he was 11-15 146 yards a big difference. Orton is perfect for this offense because he does just what he needs to do. Can we do something about the uniforms though yuck!

For the Chargers it was another tough night. They seem to always put up enough points, but the Chargers defense got shredded again along with the special teams. No matter how many points you score if you cannot stop the other team it really does not matter. Everyone picked the Chargers to win this division and it looks like they will struggle to be a .500 football team this year.
