Cliff Lee Dominates Rockies As Phillies Win 5-1
Cliff Lee pitched a six hitter as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Colorado Rockies by a score of 5-1. Lee at one point set down 16 straight batters on his way to his first post season win. Raul Ibanez had two hits and two RBIs and Ryan Howard and Jason Werth also got key hits to drive in runs for the Phillies.
Many people questioned Charlie Manuel’s decision to go with Lee, but right now it looks like a brilliant move on his part. Most people thought he would go with Cole Hamels, but he will use him in Game 2. The Rockies must win Game 2 as they cannot afford to go down 2-0. The Rockies always seem to battle back so we will see if they can knock Hamels out and get a win.
