Jimmie Johnson Elite Sports Performer

Published by ken77 under Auto Racing, Nascar Edit This

Jimmie Johnson is heading to another Nascar Championship and the bad thing is the sportsworld has really not cared. With the baseball playoffs, NBA pre-season, and the NFL season to talk about Johnson has basically been snubbed. This is my opinion is just not right. Will you hear Jimmie Johnson complain about lack of coverage? Nope he just continues to go out and dominate races.

Johnson is one of the good guys in sports and does many things  outside the racing arena that people just do not hear about. When Jimmie Johnson first came in I never thought he would be as good as he has been. He has proven that he is a force to be reckon with and the way he is going he could be around a long time to come.  Let’s hope the mainstream media give him the credit that he deserves.

Published by ken77 under Auto Racing, Nascar Edit This

 rpm_g_busch13_300.jpg

For most of the week Kyle Busch has been called an angry man and I guess he does not mind the criticism as long as he visits victory lane a lot. Last night Busch was able to hold off Mark Martin and took the checkered flag at the Bristol Motor Speedway. Mark Martin had chances where he could have used his bumper to knock Busch out of the way, but he raced cleaned because that is how Mark Martin does things. Without a doubt Mark Martin is a class act and deserves our applause. You got to hand it to Kyle Busch he is a heck of a race car driver.

Below is the Top 10.

1. Kyle Busch

2. Mark Martin

3. Marcos Ambrose

4. Greg Biffle

5. Denny Hamlin

6. Ryan Newman

7. Kurt Busch

8. Jimmie Johnson

9. Dale Earnhardt Jr.

10. Matt Kenseth

Michael Jackson Influence On Sports Very Wide

 232653.jpg

This week we lost an icon that thrilled everyone with his music and touched many lives. Most people do not equate Michael Jackson with sports, but his music still is used by ball players even after his death. After hearing of his death many Major League players asked to use some of his songs as they walk to the plate or out of the bullpen. Several Milwaukee Brewer players did and are planning to use them longer as a tribute and respect for the great entertainer.

Most people do not realize that Michael jackson crossed many different boundaries and sports was just another one that he touched. His music will be around forever and will be missed, but his legacy will live forever and you might just hear his music at your favorite ball park as well.

Welcome To Sports Hits Hall Of Fame

 baseball-glove.jpg

If you have been following Sports Hits for anytime you have realized that we love sports of all kinds and the people who play it. This is why I have come up with the Sports Hits Hall Of Fame. At the top of this blog you will see a link where you can click on to read everyday about our newest addition to the Hall Of Fame.

Now the people who will be added to the Sports Hits Hall Of Fame are players who may not have the stats you need to get to the regular Hall of Fame in their sport, but still made a valuable contribution to their teams and help them win. There are many deserving players out their so look for the first entry tomorrow. You can also send me nominations in on who you think should be there as well. It can come from any sport men or women does not matter. This should be a lot of fun and your input is always something I look forward to.

Milka Duno Sports Lady Of The Day

Published by ken77 under Auto Racing Edit This

The first time I research this sports star I was impressed with her beauty and also her resume as well. Milka was born in Caracas, Venezuela and lives in Miami Florida. Growing up she valued a good education and holds four master degrees in Organizational Development, Naval Architecture, Fishing and Aquaculture and Maritime Business. So you can see she is just not a beautiful sexy face.

Milka  is one of the most successful female sportscar racer in history. Milka has not really won any championships to speak of that many people would know about, but she is a consistent driver that has proven herself. She does many advertising and print ads along with a movie. She is an all around beauty that has a long list of talents. Check her pictures below.

Danica Patrick Sports Lady of The Day

Danica Patrick is today’s Sports lady of the day and for good reason. Besides tearing up the race track she also has beauty to match. Many people follow Danica on the Indy Circuit, but others are hoping she will eventually jump to Nascar. Now that would be a very interesting jump and one that I would like to see. I think she may surprise many people at how talented she really is. Enjoy some of the photos I found of this beauty!

Jimmie Johnson Wins Martinsville Once Again

Published by ken77 under Auto Racing, Nascar Edit This

 rpm_g_jimmy1_5761.jpg

It does not seem to matter where Jimmie Johnson starts the Martinsville Race as he is always near or at the front when it counts and today was no exception either. Johnson nudged Denny Hamlin out of the way with 15 laps to go and never looked backed as he claimed his 6th win at Martinsville race track. You really had to feel bad for Denny Hamlin who did lead 296 laps and did finished second while Tony Stewart was third and Jeff Gordon was fourth.

Top 10 Finish.

  1. Jimmie Johnson
  2. Denny Hamlin
  3. Tony Stewart
  4. Jeff Gordon
  5. Clint Bowyer
  6. Ryan Newman
  7. Mark Martin
  8. Dale Earnhardt Jr
  9.  A.J. Allmendinger
  10. Jamie McMurray

Kurt Busch Wins in Atlanta

Published by ken77 under Auto Racing, Nascar Edit This

 rpm_u_kbuschts_576.jpg

Kurt Busch was so dominate in the race today at Atlanta no one really had a chance at as he won the Kobalt Tools 500 in Atlanta. he was so dominate that he lead 234 of the 330 laps. he had to pull away late from Jeff Gordon after a caution to get the win though. Busch had the car to beat as when others were struggling to find the handling Busch’s car for the most part was very good. Climbing out of the car Busch was all smiles as he knew he had a very special car that no one was going to beat. Jeff Gordon finished second while Carl Edwards finished third.

In the points standings Jeff Gordon is leading  Clint Bowyer by 43 and with Kurt Busch’s win he is now just 46 points back. This season for Kurt Busch has gotten off to a much better start than last season and Penske Racing and Busch couldn’t be any happier.
