Michael Jackson Influence On Sports Very Wide

 232653.jpg

This week we lost an icon that thrilled everyone with his music and touched many lives. Most people do not equate Michael Jackson with sports, but his music still is used by ball players even after his death. After hearing of his death many Major League players asked to use some of his songs as they walk to the plate or out of the bullpen. Several Milwaukee Brewer players did and are planning to use them longer as a tribute and respect for the great entertainer.

Most people do not realize that Michael jackson crossed many different boundaries and sports was just another one that he touched. His music will be around forever and will be missed, but his legacy will live forever and you might just hear his music at your favorite ball park as well.

Welcome To Sports Hits Hall Of Fame

 baseball-glove.jpg

If you have been following Sports Hits for anytime you have realized that we love sports of all kinds and the people who play it. This is why I have come up with the Sports Hits Hall Of Fame. At the top of this blog you will see a link where you can click on to read everyday about our newest addition to the Hall Of Fame.

Now the people who will be added to the Sports Hits Hall Of Fame are players who may not have the stats you need to get to the regular Hall of Fame in their sport, but still made a valuable contribution to their teams and help them win. There are many deserving players out their so look for the first entry tomorrow. You can also send me nominations in on who you think should be there as well. It can come from any sport men or women does not matter. This should be a lot of fun and your input is always something I look forward to.

WNBA Hands Down Punishments

Published by ken77 under WNBA, Women's sports Edit This

After the WNBA had their version of a basketball brawl on Tuesday between the Los Angeles Sparks and the Detroit Shock. Plenette Pierson was suspended for four games and Rick Mahorn assistant coach for the Shock will be sitting two games. Rick Mahorn being involved in a skrimish is really not surprising if you ask me.

Shannon Bobbitt and Murriel Page of the Sparks were each given two game suspensions for their involvement. This is something that the WNBA does not have a problem with and hopefully we will not see any of this in the future, but it could happen.

When two teams do not like each other and butt heads this is something that could happen and when it does the WNBA needs to come down hard and swiftly which they have.
